This is really interesting. In a small country like Kuwait with a relatively "low" populationn density relative to countries like Egypt a new article published in the Kuwait Times newspaper has indicated the impact of "high" population density on traffic in Kuwait.
KUWAIT: By 2008, the population density in Kuwait would exceed the road network's capacity, said Kuwait Municipality 's Director-General Mohammad Eid Al-Nassar. In a study, released on Thursday, regarding the development of Kuwait 's road network, Al-Nassar noted that according to Kuwait 's structural plan for 2003-2004, the population would reach a total of 2.8 million people by 2008, but it has already exceeded three million.Kuwait 's residential areas to ease the pressure on traffic and services which were already affected.
