It has been a long month since I last posted an article or a news item in this blog. It is not an indicator of loosing interest but rather a state of disorganization in time management. I guess one of the main reasons why blogs will not turn out to be a reliable source of continuous information, compared to traditional media is the fact that blogs are vulnerable to the social and economic conditions of the individual bloggers. In an industrious media framework the flow of information will always continue to exist and reach the audience. Blogs are usually a reflection of the time and energy allocated to them by the bloggers.
Many of my colleagues and friends who have became "too professional" in their carers ask me about my motivation for continuing to populate information in a blog while consuming my time and making no money at all. I still believe in the concept of "passion" and "volunteerism to make a change". Of course I do not claim to be doing an extraordinary work, as the amount of effort put in this blog last month was almost zero but I will do my best to maintain the passion that is required to develop the blog.
Two weeks ago I met a young lady by coincidence who has identified me and informed me that this blog has helped her a lot in her Master's Degree research and she thanked me for that. Such an impact is one of the main motivations that can make this blog grow even more hoping to provide benefits to any one using it. This blog is about sustainability and I hope it will be sustainable as well!

I think you are appreciated more than you know! Your blog is one of the few sources of regular, reliable information on Arab environmentalism and development, and has helped me a great deal with my MSc thesis as well!
