Short Resume

I am a Jordanian ecologist by profession, with extensive working experiences in various environmental management disciplines, and in projects with major international organizations.

I have a 10 years working experience in Academic institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations, international environmental organizations (UNDP, IUCN, UNEP, World Bank, etc..), government and media institutions.

 

My work covered many aspects of environment including University Teaching, Ecological field research, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Monitoring, Research in environmental policy, Information & Communication management, Environmental appraisals, On-line moderation, Developing and populating online databases, Website content development and management, Environmental projects’ Impact Analysis, environmental communication and networking, Global Environmental management systems, technical and institutional capacity building, strategic planning, policy analysis and proposal development.  

 

In addition to environmental expertise, I am a professional writer and communicator. I have published 6 books, 20 reports and policy papers and more than 1500 articles in environment, development, economics, politics and social issues in newspapers, magazines, websites and several media outlets. I have been a daily columnist in Addustour, Jordan's second high circulating newspaper since 2000.

 

I enjoy multi-cultural variations, actively integrating in positive team work dynamics and welcome democratic dialogues and discussions.  I am keen on knowledge management and continuous learning. I embrace the principles of social democracy and have firm beliefs in the values of freedom, human rights, democracy, public participation, global commons, social ethics, cultural diversity and sustainable development.
